Neurotoxin
Botox® and Dysport® are two brands of botulinum toxin used to decrease and soften wrinkles. This treatment starts working after 1 week and lasts for 3-4 months. This can be used on multiple areas of the face to prevent wrinkle formation including the glabella (11’s), forehead, crow’s feet, bunny lines, and around the mouth. There are also other cosmetic uses such as jawline slimming and the lip flip which helps subtly enhance the lips without filler.

Filler
Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane® and Juvederm® are used to fill wrinkles and reverse volume loss. This can help restore your skin to a more youthful state. Fillers typically last 6 months- 2 years depending on the type. After injections, you expect some mild bruising or swelling which should subside within 2 weeks.

Chemical Peels
Chemical Peels can be used to improve the appearance of the skin. There are three basic depths of peels: superficial, medium and deep. The superficial or lunchtime peel exfoliates the outermost layer of the skin, improving texture. The medium depth peel is our most common type and it will penetrate to the middle layers of the skin, removing damaged cells. This is very effective for sunspots, wrinkles, and superficial scars. The deep chemical peel is less commonly performed due to extensive downtime.

Microneedling
SkinPen® is an FDA approved microneedling device that can be used to improve skin texture, scars, fine lines, and pigmentation. The device deploys tiny needles into the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The procedure requires minimal downtime and is nearly pain-free with topical anesthesia.
